Women's March Philly

Why was I among the 50,000+ who marched in Philadelphia joining the millions around the country and the world?

I marched for my nieces, who deserve a world where their lives, their rights, and their work are valued and rewarded the same as men.

I marched for my mother, who deserves a protected and replenished Social Security Trust Fund after 40+ years of working.

I marched for my Aunt, who fought cancer three times and never had to choose between saving her life and paying her bills.

I marched for the friends who use Planned Parenthood for cancer screenings.

I marched for the survivors of sexual assault who shouldn't have to hear "it was just locker room talk" when their President talks of sexually assaulting women.

i marched for every woman in my life, because their rights are human rights and human rights are worth fighting for.
